I provide counseling to children and teens (ages 5-18). I am a nationally certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. I find it very meaningful to help children and teens heal from past trauma and I feel honored to be a witness to their strength and resilience. I have extensive training and a deep passion for working with children and families experiencing grief. In addition to grief and trauma, I also love supporting children through anxiety, depression, anger issues, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I enjoy building relationships with parents so that they can grow and feel supported throughout the therapeutic process. I have partnered with many families to provide their children with coping abilities to get through various life difficulties and emotional challenges.

I am a warm, accepting, and empathic therapist, dedicated to assisting my clients to achieve their therapeutic goals. I am intentional in creating a relaxed environment, developing a trusting relationship, adapting to individual needs, and providing clear communication. I believe that laughter and fun are important parts of healing from life’s difficulties. I’m also a mom, and a native Arizonan, and I love dogs!

I love working with youth! I believe our early years comprise our most critical stages of development. I am a firm believer in “people don’t care how much you know till they know how much you care,” and my number one priority is for the kids I work with to know that I care. In particular, I work to help each child I serve to feel seen, heard, and valued. I want my clients to have no doubt that their feelings and ideas are important to me, and I will always hold space to honor their experiences.

I enjoy helping youth of all ages and backgrounds, and I have nearly a decade of experience working with neurodiverse children. I can help children and teens who are struggling with anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, anger, relationship, life transitions and self esteem issues. I find it meaningful to support parents as they navigate parenting challenges and work towards supporting their child’s needs. I have a musical background and enjoy bringing music into my therapeutic approach. I am a trauma informed child and teen therapist.

I have a passion for working with preteens and teens, as these were the years I began to work through my own mental health challenges. My own journey involved struggling with anxiety and depression for a number of years, but after working with other incredible mental healthcare professionals, I was able to make a full recovery. I am now happier and healthier than ever, and I hold the same hope for the children and families I serve — particularly when the road is dark and they may feel there is none.

I now consider it a central purpose of my life to be the child counselor I needed when I was a young boy. I am a strong advocate for quality mental health education early on in life and for modeling and enabling the practices we teach. I want every child to know that mental health is real, and, even more importantly, we have the power to enable it to bloom.

I believe everyone is capable of growth and transformation. I aim to illuminate the path towards meaningful change for all those in search of it. If your child is in search of this path, nothing would bring me more joy than to walk alongside them and help them find it.

In addition to my work as a mental health professional, I love composing music and weight training. I am happily married to the love of my life and fellow foodie, Breona. I believe a healthy life is a happy one, and I believe there is no greater goal than learning to love ourselves, our neighbors, and our world as they are.
