I provide counseling to children, teens and young adults (ages 5-24). I am a nationally certified Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapist. I find it very meaningful to help children and teens heal from past trauma and I feel honored to be a witness to their strength and resilience. I have extensive training and a deep passion for working with children and families experiencing grief. In addition to grief and trauma, I also love supporting children through anxiety, depression, anger issues, self-esteem issues, relationship difficulties, and life transitions. I enjoy building relationships with parents so that they can grow and feel supported throughout the therapeutic process. I have partnered with many families to provide their children with coping abilities to get through various life difficulties and emotional challenges.

I am a warm, accepting, and empathic therapist, dedicated to assisting my clients to achieve their therapeutic goals. I am intentional in creating a relaxed environment, developing a trusting relationship, adapting to individual needs, and providing clear communication. I believe that laughter and fun are important parts of healing from life’s difficulties.

I am the Clinical Director and Founder of Resilience Therapy. I am dedicated to helping the Tucson community and feel so passionate about providing quality care that parents can trust for their kids’ emotional wellness. I’m currently focusing on growing my team of excellent clinicians and investing in their development. I’m also a mom, and a native Arizonan, and I love dogs!

Soy una trabajadora social con licencia (LMSW-T) y me apasiona apoyar a familias, niños y jóvenes (de 5 a 24 años) ayudando a navegar etapas de la vida. I am a Licensed Associated Counselor (LAC) and Registered Drama Therapist (RDT), available to provide counseling to children, teens and young adults, ages 5 through 24.  I also have experience with Psychodrama and Narradrama.

My passion for working with youth started in the classroom as a kindergarten teacher in Philadelphia.  I then became a teacher of English Language Arts, History and Theatre to 4 through 16 year olds for a decade in eastern Massachusetts and New York City.  Most recently, I have worked as a Certified School Counselor in Tucson and Green Valley.  I enjoy helping children bridge the gap between academic struggles and social/emotional challenges, so that they can become more confident learners, improve peer relationships and thrive at home.

I believe in the power of play and how it can help transform a child’s ability to identify their feelings, set goals and ultimately feel more empowered in relation to their own choices, even at a young age.  I am consistent in my team approach to working with all families.  I am a patient, compassionate and creative therapist who works in earnest to address the unique needs of each individual with whom I work to ensure they reach their goals.  I enjoy using innovative therapeutic tools, from painting to poetry, in my counseling work in order to add depth to traditional talk therapy.

I am also a devoted mom and enjoy cooking, hiking and listening to podcasts in my free time.

My passion for working with children began as a volunteer at a local children’s shelter in Tucson. This passion has continued in my career in working with children with Autism and in various Children’s Advocacy Centers. I have specialized training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA).
